No Lines
Based initially on my own biases, I realized that there is a need to show that Adidas is more than just a sportswear brand.
It is a brand for every part of life.
I knew I wanted to do something that showcased the brand's versatility, but more than that, I wanted to send a message. That’s when I got to the idea of “No Lines, Just Stripes.” It keeps the general branding of “Three Stripes” turning it into something that fights against the cultural norm of categorizing people and telling them what they can and can’t do.
While I had originally thought of this as being a video that showcased the variety of clothes offered by Adidas, I ended up coming back to this idea of people getting put inside a box. That’s when I decided to take it literally. I bought a box of sidewalk chalk and got to work.
In this process, I wanted to create a real juxtaposition when I leave the box. I achieved this by desaturating the first frame and making the last one very vibrant. I then went into Photoshop and manipulated the chalk on the ground to make the letters more uniform.
Best Buy
These are some images I made for the One Club's Young Ones advertising competition. Me and my partner were working on the brief from Best Buy. Unfortunately, we did not end up being able submit for a number of reasons, but I am happy with the design work I did.
